It's that time again- braving ferry traffic, crossing salty seas and visiting island friends.
Join us on the jewel of the San Juan Islands for fun and fellowship! We’ll be at Moran State Park, on the grounds of the Environmental Learning Center, next to Cascade Lake. Dorm-Style Lodging or Tent Sites are available for couples or families. BYOB (Bring your own bedding).
Facilities include a meeting hall, volleyball court, outdoor fire pits and access to our own beach, as well as 30 miles of mountain trails winding ‘round Mount Constitution, the highest point in the San Juan Island chain. Situated near Mount Constitution on a forested island in the San Juans, Camp Moran provides opportunities for mountain biking, hiking, fishing and swimming.
If you're having troubles figuring out what to bring, think "State Park" and look at the following list, paying especially close attention to what's not provided.
- Capacity: 144 people.Availability: year-round.
- Accommodations: rustic main lodge with wood-burning stove and commercial-sized kitchen; three duplexes sleep 28 each; two A-frames sleep eight each; five cabins sleep 10 each; one cabin sleeps four; restrooms and showers nearby.
- Features: kitchen utensils and dishes; beds or cots; tables and chairs; cleaning supplies; paper towels and toilet paper.
- Not provided: kitchen linens and dishwashing supplies; bedding or sleeping bags; firewood; first aid equipment; recreational equipment. There's a volleyball, basketbal and football- that's about it.
- Activities: 30 miles of hiking trails, including a trail to top of Mount Constitution; private beach and dock for fishing; outdoor amphitheater with fire circle and covered shelter with gas barbecue; volleyball and basketball areas.
Please note, Park regulations forbid pets on the Environmental Learning Center Grounds. Please don't make us ask you and your poor pooch to leave, because we'll have to, under the terms of our lease. Thank You!
